Effective ways to create a good video advertisement

Nowadays we live in a world in which everyone is connected through the internet and can share almost anything, One of the most popular methods to do so is through videos, but why is that?

Videos can help deliver your message depending on your needs and not only that but as mentioned it can reach a lot of people in a couple of minutes no matter their location. Which is why big or small companies used this method in order to promote their product and services (this method is known as video advertisements), but of course if you want your videos to be effective your videos have to have these characteristics:

  • Have a good length

When compared to commercials in other media, video advertisements afford some freedom to be able to tell the story of your business or product in greater depth, but of course, you need to keep in mind that the duration of your video is important. If the video is too long the audience is probably not going to watch the whole video and will try to skip the advertisement or no longer pay attention to it, but if the video is too short the audience may not remember it well or not understand it properly.

We recommend keeping the videos in a range of 15 to 30 seconds; since this amount is adequate to explain your product or service and not lose the audience’s attention.

  • Focus on one goal

When making a video advertisement it is important in creating the video in order to achieve one goal, because if you try to incorporate multiple goals into one ad. You will bombard your audience and they will just scroll past your ad. It is best to create video ads with one goal to achieve in mind. Your goal could be brand awareness, product education.

  • Personalize your video

Not only is the length important, but also you need to make sure that your video advertisements are memorable to your audience, which is why you need to personalize your video. You can do this in different ways: first, making sure that the video always has a similar type of structure when presenting your service or product. Then always show the brand image and or slogan at some point during the video, or showing customers testimonials, etc. These are all great ways to personalize your video, but of course, at the end of the day, it would all depend on the type of product or service you are selling.

Of course, there are tons of other tips that exist out there in order to help you create a good advertising video, but we believe these are the three basic choices you need to keep always in mind.
